—About our activities as from 14th August

Introduction

We held the extensive cleaning operation. Mainly the people who were concerned with Yonezawa Women’s Junior College participated in our activity from inside and outside of Yamagata Prefecture. The operation such as cleaning the repository and preventing the encroaching insects has finished. Moreover, many people newly joined us. The officers in YWJC and citizens in Yonezawa City also cooperated with us. We would like to express our gratitude to them.

[Last Week’s Activity Report]

  1. From 16th to 20th, we carried out the extensive cleaning operation.

[This Week’s Objective]

  1. Our members will participate in the symposium for the Japanese castles damaged by the East Japan Earthquake in the 6th Conference for the Northern Japanese Castle in Early Modern Time on 21st August.
  2. We will carry out the cleaning operation in TUAD on 23rd and 25th of August.
  3. On 26th August, the cleaning operation in YWJC will be held.
  4. We are discussing the schedule for the date of exchanging information and managing the operations with officers who have a duty about the earthquake damage.(Friday 2nd September is the most likely, we will advertise for the participants.)

[Attention]

On 23rd August, the cleaning operation in TUAD will start again.

[The schedule for September]

With regard to the schedule foe the cleaning operation in September, we scheduled as follows.

On September, Tohoku University of Art and Design will have summer holiday, so the cleaning operation in TUAD will be suspended. Instead of it, we will make our cleaning operations in Yamagata University open to the public. The people who participated in the operation in TUAD will follow the same procedure as before. The new prospective participants will need to send us your name, address, tel number, and desired date of your participation.

The operation date in Yamagata University: On 5th, 6th, 12th, 13th, 20th, 26th, 27th of September. The working time will be from 6:00pm to 7:30pm. As for the operation in YWJC, it is still uncertain whether it will be open to the public or not. In terms of the operation, you have to obey the instruction by the secretariat office in each place and people concerned with the Yamagata Network, If you cannot do so we will be unable to accept you.

In addition, the regular meeting will be held in Yamagata University on 12th or 13th.

We are of course willing to tell how to carry out the cleaning operation. So if you offer us your place as a venue, we would like to have a meeting about the place and schedule. Please contact us.
